Proviso is a law firm template for boutique and mid-size practices, designed and built end to end. People come to a lawyer worried about the cost and about being passed around, so the homepage answers that first, under the headline “Leave every meeting knowing your next step.” Every promise is footnoted like a clause in an agreement: a fixed quote, one lawyer, replies within a day and advice in plain words, each lit in turn as you scroll, with its proviso beside it.

Behind the homepage sit practice areas, chosen by what’s happening rather than the area of law, with a page for each; our people, with a signed note from the principal; an about page that tells the firm’s history as dated provisos; insights, a CMS library of short answers that each start with the answer and end with its proviso; and a contact page that tells you the day your written reply will arrive. Every page change is signed on the line by the page transition. It is responsive across desktop, laptop, tablet and phone.
